La Fortezza Alser, first set up in Paris in 2001 under the name La Fortezza France, is a strategically important site thanks to which the Group has become a partner of the French giant retail chains. In 2007, as part of its continuing expansion, La Fortezza Group acquired Alser, a historic French company in the retail fitting sector. The main Alser site is located in Paris while the production plant at Romorantin in France has 20,000 m2 under cover in a surface area di of 60,000 m2. This company is completed by the newly extended Italian branch at Agrate Brianza (Milan). A structure with 170 employees and an annual turnover of more than 40 million euros reinforces the Group’s strategic presence in the retail sector and satisfies the requirements of numerous French clients. After two and a half years, during which Alser underwent complete production, marketing and administrative reorganisation, LaFortezza France and Alser were merged to form the new company "LaFortezza-Alser", which will have a dual mission:
• the production and marketing of Alser equipment, produced at Romorantin;
• the marketing of all LaFortezza items, produced at Scarperia, in Italy.
